The Daily Mirror represents Theresa May as a negative model through the language and main visual image explicitly used. The Mirror decided to satire Theresa May as they use an unattractive picture to mock her appearance which gives a humorous element to it that therefore portrays her as a weak, dependent female as her presence on a newspaper appears comical. This is acceptable in the media industry to depict her physical image due to freedom of speech and freedom of the press. Additionally, the negative use of language, such as the abstract noun 'lies' connotes her as an untrustworthy leader in an unfavourable light.
